Topic: Grizzly Wheels

I was wondering if anybody on here might have a set of dark grey "Grizzly" wheels for sale. I've been lookin around for about three months now and haven't had any luck. Every once in a while I see someone selling one or two of those wheels on ebay, but the lips are chewed to sh*t. Let me know!!

What's with the Grizzly Wheels? I'm not so familiar with this tire...
Why not choose some other quality tires if you can't find one?

Grizzly wheels are stock jeep wheels, not tires. I think they're 15x7 with a dark gray 5 spoke. I was thinking about running those with my BFG 33x10.5 AT's until I upgrade to 4.88 gears. They are a lighter alloy wheel.

wouldn't they have too little backspacing for 33s. not sure about TJs but when i had 31s on stock rims on my YJ it would rub when going to a full turn either left or right.

I would just turn out the steering stops. I've taken a look at pics of GzrGlides's TJ and from the looks of it he's running 33x10.5 BFG mud terrains on the stock jeep steel wheels. Personally I like the look of the tall skinny jeeps. Kinda reminds me of a CJ-5 running 35's.
 I'm only gonna do minimal wheeling with the TJ while it's my D.D. After that the gloves are coming off and the jeep is gonna get hit with some massive changes. Right now I can't afford to have the jeep sitting on jack stands for a week at a time.

I'm running them with 33x12.50's and they will rub hard both left and right.  If you want to run them throw a couple of washers on the steering stops.

I wound up picking up a set of 2004 wrangler columbia edition wheels 15x7, only 8000 miles on them. Mounted the BFG 33x10.5 AT's on them and they look great, not to mention stand taller. They measure 32.2 inches tall. When they were on the 15x8 cragar steelies, they only measured about 30 inches tall. Not to mention that the steelies were a lot heavier than the stock alloys.
Now I get to wait around till interco has a sale to pick up some 33x12.5 or 34x10.5's bias ply's to mount onto my cragars for weekend wheeling trips. 
I had to cut 3/4" off of the rubber snubbers on the tailgate to mount the spare.
And yes, I did wind up using washers on my steering stops. Four on each side. That was fun to do while it was raining.

That looks good.  You can see that the narrow wheels are pinching the sidewalls in as the tread has this overinflated look to it.  I didn't realize that BFG has 33x10.5R15's in the KO's as well.

Thanks. It works well for now as she's my DD, especially since the bad weather is coming and it's gonna bring the salt trucks out  . I was getting sick of salty water getting splashed up onto the sides of the jeep.  In the pic the tires are pumped to 36 psi.  Before I washed her, I took care of all the other stuff-- tire air, washer fluid, checked the fluids everywhere else, - and also topped off the high beam fluid just for good measure  . For the next week I'll be lowering the pressure in small increments just to find a comfortable psi. The LT tires kill your kidneys on the streets around here!
