Fram Air hog filter
« on: November 16, 2009, 12:11:36 PM »
This may be a good deal.  Amazon has the Air Hog filter for $3.84 and free shipping with a Prime account.  These seem like a pretty good deal especially if you purchase a couple - change as needed and not worry about cleaning it.

Product Description
FRAM engineers designed every hi-performance air filter to allow the engine to "HOG" all available air. The 4-layer cotton gauze material allows more than traditional disposable paper filters for better vehicle performance.

Could be considered a poor man's K&N filter?

This has been discussed a few times already.  Check the Internet Deals thread.  Some of us bought them 2 years ago when they were free.  http://4bangerjp.com/forums/index.php/topic,3684.0.html

I didn't see a verdict on quality and if one needs to use the Fram oil refill.  Looks like the rebate was sweet though.
