Who says Jeeps can't haul stuff?
« on: December 24, 2009, 12:25:53 PM »
I just had to share this photo that a buddy of mine in Idaho sent me. I have to admit that I never would of thought of doing this.
No matter where you're going, there you are.

At least it wasn't chopped and fillet'd.....

Do a search on hunting elk and you'll be surprised what vehicle they drag them out of the wilderness with. Then swap over to a street vehicle still dripping.....eehhhhwwww

That's what I was thinking.
But I think my first stop would have been the butcher, not the bar.  ???

Believe me, it's legit. That Elk weighed just over 600 lb.s after field dressing. Elk have very long legs so, yes, it would be taller than a stock jeep.

I'll never forget the time that my girlfriend (now wife) were driving through the hills of Eastern Oregon at night in her Fiero. We came around a corner doing about 80 and there was a cow elk standing broadside in the middle of the road. I slammed on the brakes and, when we came to a stop, we were actually looking underneath it's belly. I wouldn't be here today if we had hit it.
No matter where you're going, there you are.

Its pretty hard to believe that pic. I think its edited because that deer looks taller than the jeep if its standing.
Jeep can really haul but that pic is not legit.
Elk is the second largest of the deer species.  Moose are the largest.  Whitetail would be on the other side of the spectrum.
