It will depend on several factors. Suspension lift, engine lift or tcase drop, location of the housing and what not. Remember that the I6 AX15 drivetrain is the longest and the I4 AX5 is the shortest. I believe the difference is close to 4" in the rear driveshaft length.
The pinion location will be higher and closer to the transfer case then with the D35c. But may work out fine with your current driveshaft. What you're going to have to do it bolt up the axle and check it.
Oh and you can also adjust your axle location with adjustable perches. Perches will usually have three holes instead of the one. This allows the axle to be moved an inch in either direction. You shouldn't have any problems from moving it since it's minimal.
