I would have to find my receipt, I think I only paid 850 for my hankooks for 285's and that was installed. Those were also load range E so I would think a C range or light truck would be cheaper

I ran a set of the old style MT/R's and got them used with like half  tread, they lasted me about 15-20K before I took them off. A buddy ran them for a short while afterwards. I got a lot of miles out of my old KM's in a 33" as well. IMO I didn't overpay at all for the Goodyears. $1090.04  was cheaper than just about any other tore they could get me. And considering March of '09 I got a quote damn near $1400 for the Goodyears, $1100 isn't bad.

No sense in getting my panties in a bunch over this anyway... Went in today and the only two tires they could get within a week were Pro Comp X-terrains and I know a handful of folks who hate theirs, or Dick Cepek Mud Countrys. Most others were back ordered later than the MT/R's. Guess I'll have to just wait

Their excuse will probably be it's 4WPW.  If you order through the local store then it's got to go through the main store in Compton first.  Stores that have larger accounts and more turn over will more then likely have them in stock or be getting them sooner.  Tire store v. parts store...

Tire Rack shows them in stock now... I just called my local 4WP and they said they're "on schedule" still to have them by the 30th. So hopefully they will show up before then??
