Bestop...
« on: May 21, 2010, 08:00:05 AM »
...is alright in my book.

Just called them to see about replacing my a-pillar mouldings that were "tweaked" when that tree leaned in and hit my Jeep top at the Badlands..  (okay...they shattered/cracked when I wussed out while leaning and didn't go far enough right... :'( )

Of course, they changed the way the supertop connects and no longer make those pieces....but as a courtesy, they sold me the new plastic connection pieces for $13 and are sending all new corresponding bow pieces...FOR FREE!!

That's what I call customer service.

Bestop is not only an aftermarket mfg. but also an OEM mfg.  They are one of the few companies out there that have really good customer service.

I got the Bestop Sliding windows for my jeep a while back and two winters ago had a plow I would assume and throw a rock up and it shattered the window, after trying to find a place here to fix it not wanting to have to buy a new one thinking it would be a ton of money to replace, I finally had to call them.  After explaining what happened to the lady she had a brand new slider shipped to my house 2 days later for free, saying that was covered under there warranty.

And this is not mentioning the fact that the quality of their products is top notch to start with; I regret getting my Pavement Ends targa top, which does not have the little vents behind the rear window to let air out when you close the doors, and which STILL (and since day one) leaks.

You do realize that Pavement Ends IS Bestop.  It's their value-line which is more like the OE tops.

I did not know that; I know they no longer make these tops, which is why I got it at the great price I did, but I now wish I had spent the money on a REAL Bestop...

There was a tiem in the late 90's when Bestop was making some crap tops.  Mostly bad stitching.
