it's been suggested, but if you look at the pic in his logo (profile pic) he says he cracked the header 5 times in the same spot - it doesn't look to me that is in a spot where the stress and weight of the exhaust pipe/cat/muffler is the problem since it is vertical between the individual exhaust pipes coming from cyl 1 and 4 (if i'm not mistaking) and i'm pretty sure is a problem with the way they manufacture that part that merges the 4 pipes together in one and the fact that the pipes are pushing and pulling on that piece of sheetmetal (and more specifically on that bend) - it's like flexing a metal sheet or flat bar 100 times, will eventually break. I would have given up sending them back by now and weld the heck out of that crack to see if it happens again.
Sharpxmen is exactly right.
I hate to rehash all of this, but you can see my last 3 to 4 years of research and changes on my thread "Banks Cracked again". What's mentioned on this thread is way basic... Been there done all of this and then some. Bottom line its heat and flex and you will loose every time. Done.

Oh well, thanks for the input.  Maybe I'll get their exhaust but I'll take a pass on the header.

Too bad Thorley quit making the 2.5 unit, I have one and its held
up well for about 100K Miles now... Glad I spent the blood money on it...
Its a tri-Y so it does not have the big 4 into 1 collector...
One of the reasons i picked it was the fit... Its much narrower than the 4 in to one units.

I know people who have used the Borla header, no problems.  Personally, I have delt with Borla's Customer Service and it's top-notch.

had a borla catback system for 2 years, the back of the muffler blew out. Borla would not honor my warranty because all I had was my invoice which they said was not a receipt. Borla can pound sand.
I have had by magna flow cat and muffler for 4 years now with ZERO issues.

I use my invoice/recipt and have had no problems.  I've contacted them over warranty stuff 4 or so times.
