1973 Jeep Jeepster Commando. I built it up for Jp Magazine as part of our Sh!%box Derby event. Planned on keeping it, but want a Wagoneer or FSJ Cherokee that'll fit my family of 5. Prices are firm - if it doesn't sell I'll just keep it and continue wheeling/building it.

Specs:
Under Hood: Stock original 304; Daystar motor mounts; Thorley Tri-Y headers; rebuilt Motorcraft carb (choke removed); Performance Distributors DUI distributor; GM 1-wire 100-amp alternator; new starter; new radiator (BTR Radiators 4-core); probably more I'm forgetting. Flowmaster muffler

Tranny: Stock TH400 w/ fresh rebuild; B&M Traveler torque converter, full B&M master rebuild kit, shift kit, aluminum pan; B&M Street Bandit shifter; twin coolers (B&M and some other aftermarket one - I forget the brand)

T-case: Stock Dana 20 w/ fresh rebuild (Novak full rebuild kit w/ Novak hardened intermediate shaft). Stock driveshafts w/ 1310 U-joints

Axles: Stock Dana 30 front/Dana 44 rear (30-spline flanged). Stock 3.73 gears, open front, welded rear; new rear shaft bearings and seals. Spidertrax 1.25-inch spacers at each corner.

Brakes: Stock power drum/drum: Adjusted/inspected on front; new shoes, cylinders rear; new master cylinder.

Suspension: Stock packs w/ add-a-leaf in rear & Rancho RS5000 shocks. Front Rancho RS44044 Wagoneer packs w/ custom shackle-reversal, F-350 shock mounts, Rancho RS5000 shocks. 'Bout 10-inches travel up front and maybe same out back.

Wheels/Tires: Five 17x8.5 Walker Evans Beadlocks w/ wide rings. Four w/ old skool hot rod red powdercoating - one raw - mounted with five Maxxis Trepador Radials in 35x12.50R17LT size.

Misc: Flushed fuel system (stock pickup/tank). Autometer oil/temp/volt gauges. Stock speedo works. YJ bucket seats up front. YJ bench seat rear (not installed but comes with vehicle).

Good: Starts right up and drives nice. No knocks, noises from engine. Lots of spendy parts and most of the hard stuff done.

FYI: I crunched the driver-side door so it's hard to open/close. Drive-side front tire munched the front fender since this photo taken. Little bent up now on leading edge. Heater and most stock wiring stuff gone. Headlight/running lights work off individual toggles. Oddly enough, wipers work perfectly. Big sections of the floor have been cut out - there was a bunch of rot on the floor from the indoor carpet padding somebody installed at some point along the way - it soaked rainwater like a sponge and just sat there for years. Was going to wait to weld in new floor 'till I finished the cage build. Rockers cut for high-clearance integrated rocker protection, which isn't built yet. Also, the tranny kickdown stopped working last time I drove it. Probably needs a new kickdown solenoid, but I haven't dropped the tranny pan to swap it out yet.

It's not perfect and I never wanted it to be. It's a project vehicle - there's more left to do, but it's a runner and wheeler as it sits. I built it for myself - not to cater to the masses. If you're a weirdo down at my level it may be for you, but this is not a resto rig. It's a down-and-dirty off-road fun wagon.

Clear title, current CA registration. I'll let it go for $3,800. Not a bad deal when you consider the wheels/tires are $3,600 by themselves! I'll sell the wheels/tires for $2,000, or the Jeep w/out the wheels/tires for $2,700 (bring your own 5x5.5 pattern wheels/tires). Serious only! Prices are firm!
