Anyone make a QUALITY oil pressure sender for my squirrel cage?
« on: February 26, 2011, 02:12:16 PM »
Just replace the TJ's dead sender (again) and now it is just as bad as the dead one as it reads between 40 and pegged at 80, even will show 80 psi when idling.  I have no reason to believe I have any other problems with the system.  I am hoping Autozone selling cheap stuff and you can recommend a manufacturer to me or how to address a weird issue in this engine if it is not the sender.  I can not remember ever changing the sender on my old CJ.

dealer, not the same price but still reasonable.

or you could go with a mechanical gauge, that would be most accurate.

I don't think there is a quality sender.  I had my OEM one go then replaced it with a used OEM sender.  I'll probably replace mine with a electrical gauge later on.
