e3 plugs
« on: June 18, 2011, 01:44:15 AM »
So I just put e3 plugs in my jeep, and it definitely runs different. It doesn't feel quite as torquey and doesn't pull as hard. Runs quieter and smoother though. I was wondering what everybody thought about these plugs and if I should just pull them and put in the $2 copper stocks from pepboys.

I have been using the E3 plugs as well. I think they are alright but really don't live up to all the hype about em. I will be changing them out soon to see if there is any difference.

These plugs suck d**k! I could barely do 70 floored when I normally can run 80+. I pulled them out and after less then a 100 miles they were discolored and blackened. Total waste of money, I'm super pissed. Don't buy these plugs ever..... get the $2 champions. That's what i just did and it runs GREAT! wtf stupid power block fooling me into buying crappy chinese products

actually there was another thread for the same product, conclusion was the claims were unfounded and bogus.

Lawn Boy, they run forever.  It was the only plug Wal-Mart had for it.

I don't trust anything the powerblock sells anymore they are paid to promote anything.. I got a Zoom performance clutch that they promoted for my jeep and it didn't even last 3 month. I put in a old used clutch from a buddy that had over 200 000km's on it and got 2 years out of it before it was warped so bad it shook my teeth out and had to change but still held the Zoom one wouldn't even hold my jeep on a slight grade in gear..

also I found out the warranty was 30 days after the fact as well. witch is why after spending 800$ on a clutch and flywheel I was left pockets empty and still needing a clutch & flywheel...

don't believe everything you see on tv..

I'm with the "keep it simple stupid"

Know also that the multiple electrode plugs that the TV and parts store guys pimp (think Bosch) will not work well on late-model Fords.  Long explanation but trust me on this.

black, warped, and discolored...you know that rainbow gloss color you get from metal when you start to melt it. That's the color of these plugs after 50 miles. I feel stoopid lol

I tried E 3s plugs about 5 years ago when they were fairly new. My rig was more responsive, quicker down the highway, and then a BIG BACK FIRE and I lost power and sputerred all the way home. Pulled out the plugs and found one completely melted, and a piece of it missing. I put my NGKs back in. But my jeep was still running bad.Took it to my mechanic and he had to take the head of and install new piston rings, gasket, and remove foriegn piece of metal inside cylinder. I went round and round with E3 corporate office. In the end they did end up paying for my repairs. I have pics of bad plugs somewhere. DO NOT USE E-3s.
