Definity MT

What do you guy's think about it, are they any good. Will I hate myself on the highway with stock gears at 2357515 size?

So those are Pep Boy off-brand tires (Cooper Tires).  I'd really look at the Walmart/GY Duratrac's.  People really seem to like them.

This also might be of some interest although they cover more of the name brand tires are only MT's. http://www.fourwheeler.com/techarticles/wheels/129_1104_massive_mud_tire_shootout_intro/index.html

I ran those pepboys definity MTs (31x10.5) until about 6 months ago. They lasted a good while. I DD my jeep and they were great on-road, quiet, great in the snow, no problems in the rain (but remember these are MTs) and they were great off road and no problems in the mud. I used to drive circles in the mud and snow around my buddy's 4.0 equipped with BFG ATs (31s), they would cake up and slick over on him throughout the trails, while my Pepboys kept me goin. I was actually looking to continue with them in a 33x11.5 (or as close a size as they had to that) but they were out of stock so i went with teh Toyos. Overall, the Pepboys 31s are a good buy.

Great, the reason why I'm asking is because I work at pepboys lol. As long as they aren't too bad on the highway than I'm good.

The duratracs are ok, I took a look a look at the article you posted. I'm suprised at who won lol, yay old fashioned chevron treadblocks I guess. If cheap (almost retro) treadpatterns like that perform so well, why all crazyness with some of these tread designs. Looking at the tread alone the Definity actually looks like a more street friendly version of the KM2  ;)

KM2's aren't really mud tires.  They're like the old MT/R's which weren't mud tires either.  They were a street version of their competition rock crawling tire.  I'd like the information from the magazine with a grain of salt though.

I'm kind of wondering whether or not a mud tires even a good idea, I'm going to upgrade my diff fluids when I get them but I'm still kinda worried I'm going to eat up my diffs with the heavy tire/tread.

You will be fine with 31s and open diffs. I know several guys who ran the D35 with open diffs and 32s and 33s for years with no problems.

No issue with those 31s. I had them on for 3 yrs of DD and no problems. You're going to love these tires and love the fact you didnt pay huge name brand prices for them. When i wear out my toyos im gonna go back to Pepboys and see if they have 33x11.5 in Definities in stock (they ran out when i was last purchasing tires).

I'm sure I will, I just hope I won't want to shoot myself on the freeway because I have a 30 mile a day commute

I have TRXUS MT's on my daily driver.  I was told they were a softer compound and wouldn't last long, but I've had them on there for more than three years and love them.  Great in the snow as well.  May not last through the Winter though...
