With the jumps between gears in a manual tranny it is hard to say what gearing in the diffs will be better. For highway use, you might hit a sweet spot dead on with 4.56 diff gears in 4th gear and you might end up with neither 4th nor 5th being as good with 4.88 in the diffs. To really optimize your setup, you would need to do some real world testing and some math.
