A '95 MC and Booster is around $150 new/reman.  I think $10 each for thread adapters.  That's not too bad.  Still not sure what I'll do but better brakes are in the cards.  I don't think I need hydro boost.  The Jeep brakes pretty well right now.  Just want a bit more bite.  I also might consider doing a Teraflex Disc conversion since they still make a kit that fits the XJ44 and it's reasonably cheap as well.

I am interested in this kit as well; not so much for the improvement in braking, but more because of the maintenance free operation that disc brakes offer, especially considering the abuse we put drum brakes through with all the mud here.  This would also help me solve my e-brake problem, I think (at least, with a new cable, which I saw are like $18 online...)

Compared to GPW brakes, modern brakes are quite powerful.  It is just that we have gotten used to braking by just moving the ankle instead of using the whole leg!


That's more because they are manual brakes.  Not to mention the curb weight for a flat fender is around 2200 lbs and a top speed of 50mph.  Although you can get some really good brakes without using boost.

The kits been around for years.  I remember some guy's telling me to but the CJ kit (It used to be for CJ's) since it was better then SSBC which is really a box of parts in comparison.

Summitracing.com probably.  Jeg's sells it as well as Qtech.  Or you can order it from Teraflex.

Summit sells some.  But kind of spendy.  Plus one that says Big Ford Ends.  Not sure what they are talking about there but it supposed to be for the 35.

thats not the same.  That's for a d35c not a D44 xj.  It doesn't look like Tera's either.

You want the one for '91 and up.  Keep in mind that you'll be paying shipping on that through qtech unlike with summitracing.  Summit racing s a very well known store.  More so then even qtech.

Cost at summit was about $200 more.  I normally do use Summit for everything.

What part number from Summit did you look up.  Cause I find no teraFlex kit  for my year.  All they list is one for a 35 but with Big ford ends.

The cheapest kit I find for mine is one by Summit That costs 699.97.  The rest are 7-800.
