Hi my name is Nick and I live in southwest Washington state.  I inherited my uncles jeep, it's a black 1992 yj 2.5l with only 121k miles.  It came from Arizona and its completely rust free.  It is stock except for the 31's that rub a little bit.  It won't be my daily so I plan to lift it, lock it, and wheel the hell out of it when summer comes around.  I hope to learn a lot more about jeep mods here.  I will have pics later.
These are the mods I'm thinking about.
Suspension lift 4" or more
At least 33" tires
Rear Locker and Regear
Find an oem hard top
Get a winch for the front
Mount some spot lights
4.0 TB mod
Upgrade Ignition system
Maybe a Header

hello everyone, I am josh.  I live in laramie wyoming, I recently just moved back to this area after getting out of the army.  I got my jeep about 2 1/2 years ago, but how things have worked out for me have only used it for maybe a year.  Its a 04 tj se the mods that I have done is a lockright locker in the rear, 4" rough country X lift, winch, nerf bars, 31x10.5 tires, cold air intake and thats all for right now.  In the garage I have 33x12.5 pitbull growler tires, 4.88 gears, 31 spline shafts for the d35.  I stuck right now on what to do to it.  I want to regear it but have never done it before, defently want to get rid of the lockright, but not sure what to replace it with.  Welll I hope to get some advice and give some.
Thanks Josh

Hello everyone. I'm Frank from Erie, PA.
I have a stock '99 2dr 2.5l 5 speed 4x4 xj.
New to the xj crowd but this isn't my first jeep. I traded a semi built (was built good at one time) '98 5.2 zj limited, for my little xj.
Do't know much about 4 banger's, hoping to learn a lot from you guys.

Hi ~ My name is Scott, I'm 56, live in Bremerton, Wa. For some strange reason I just bought an '86 Comanche. It is bone stock, has the 2.5L four banger, five speed and is two wheel drive. I found this sight while looking for information on pumping a little life in to the engine. Thanks for asking me in the door.

I understand that the conversion to four wheel drive is pretty easy, but I've never been an off-roader. My other rides include a 1968 Chevy stepside mod-rod, a 1999 Honda Shadow ACE Tourer and a 1998 Minnie Winnie - all meant for long rides on smooth pavement.  I wasn't looking for a Comanche (or a Jeep) when this one fell in my lap. It was too solid to pass up as an everyday driver. I understand that Cherokee parts bolt on (at least the front clip). So far I've rebuilt the brakes, replaced the clutch and slave cylinder, a new water pump and alternator.  I also blasted six months worth of moss and mildew off the truck. I'd like bucket seats and am hoping to learn that Cherokee buckets will bolt in.
