Hey there folks. I've been n off again on again member of this board for a few years.
Our jeep is a '98 SE with the 5spd. The motor and tranny is stock, but it's got 33x10.5 BFG MTs, 4.88 gears, Tera QDFTs an M8000 winch and  a homemade rear bumper and TC. Ford 8.8 in the garage, but will probably do a Super35 with Detroit in a couple of months.

The kicker is that my wife is the off roader. I just get us to the trail head and she takes over. I'm on kid duty when wheelin (9 yr old son, 3 1/2 yr old daughter). The family that wheels together, stays together.

Hello fellow 2.5L underdogs hahaha. (I dont consider us underdogs, just not as fast  )

I recently aquired my fisrt jeep; owned by me, paid for by me, insured by me. I grew up with Jeeps in my family and I finally got this one:

2.5L I4 2001 Wrangler TJ, soft tan top, full steel doors, 5 spd., patriot blue. 31" tires, 15" black steel wheels (black on black), 2.5" daystar spacer lift, skyjacker RS6000 shocks.

I bought the Jeep off of my brother who is now in the Air Force and has to travel a lot. So a Jeep is not the best long-distance travel vehicle. He bought a 2006 Saab 93 Sport sedan, Aero Edition (nice car, but blah..a Saab)

Ill post some pics as soon as I can. Im in college at Penn State University. I like to go offroading and my father is rebuilding a CJ2A.

There is my intro...so who wants to help me build my Jeep up?

I guess I'm next. I'm from Ohio and moved to Maine for some time. Now, I'm thankfully back in Ohio. I currently have a 1989 Wrangler that I just put a new motor in (4 cyl of course). When in Maine, I drove a 1953 Willys and a 1978 CJ7 with a fiberglass tub and an AMC 401 (death trap). My only other jeeps were a small block chevy 1972 CJ-5 and about 4 or 5 Cherokees. So, there it is.

Hi all, I live in Colorado aout 30 miles southwest of Denver. I have been following this site for a year now and decided to join in. I have had numerous Jeeps going back to 1979 and now have a 1974 CJ5, pretty much stock except for a snow plow and that is it's only duty. Also have a 1948 CJ2A highly modified for Colorado hard core trail riding with a 6 " lift, SBC, T18, ARB's, 4:1, etc, etc. My main Jeep is a 2006 TJ with the 2.4 and 6 speed manual. I plan on slightly modifying this Jeep for ghost town tours and mild wheeling, that is trails rated at a 6 or below. Hope to meet some of you on the trail.

Hello fellow jeepers

My names Connor i just recently found this site and i think its awsome :thumb: I bought my first jeep a couple months ago, its a 1997 tj 5 speed. I use it mostly as a daily driver but love to take it off the pavement as much as possible. I have a couple mods to it and hopefully more to come.

hello my name is Josh
and I've been addicted to jeeps for about a year.
I'm excited to find a forum that is dedicated to 4 cylinder jeeps! I just bought a 1998 TJ 2.5 about two weeks ago.
I have be reading the post hear since then and the 4banger group seems well behaved and very knowledgeable. I'm the kind of person that once I get a new toy I need to know every thing about it and change every thing about it.
i make my living being an auto body tech so the first thing changed is paint. I spend all day (and I mean ALL day)thinking what color should i paint it, how much lift should I do, How big of tire do I want. Then I decide on something and change my mind 3 or 4 times a day. I really have the jeep thing bad and should really get some help!

hi everybody! dont know if im the first from delaware but as we say in the land of little hill, no rock, and horrificly sandy mud "so what now?"

im the owner of a 90 wrangler 2.5 with no fifth gear. bought it that way. and with add a leafs. and lift shackles. and a really bad tick. oh god i love it. that will  be soon fixed. kinda handy but only have one hand right now because im down waiting on shoulder surgery so dont be surprised if you see me a lot on here.

oh i also own a 68 dj-5. left hand drive former milatary use as far as i know. it was my first jeep and ive kept it going in one way shape or form since i bought it for $100 almost six years ago. it forunatley has an aluminuim chevy 8 other wise it would still be my daily and i wouldnt have gotten the fine peice of machinery that is my 90. which i will fix soon. any day now. yep.

oh and im engaged and she told me to buy the 68 and the 90. i win.
