Hey guys the name is Eddie. Just got myself a 2000 2.5L 5speed Red TJ with 117k miles. I must say going from a Scion xB that was slammed on coilovers (about 3 inches from the ground) to this Jeep has been a big change but so far I am loving it. Basically, I was tired of getting stuck on speedbumps... So far my Jeep has some black steelies (not sure of the brand as previous owner put them on) w/ 29" kumhos, KC H4 headlights, and a WW2 grenade shifter.

Plans include bigger tires (33s?)
regearing
Some power mods
KC fogs
and a 4 inch lift

:thumb: I did the lowered car thing to it was a fad for me.  like you said I got tired of ripping gas tanks and exhaust off from minor road debris. I laugh at low riders now !!  If I had a car it would be rally inspiration theme!  wrx or something would be nice :D

Thanks man, its sharp looking that for sure.  Still has everything on it from the factory (carpet, jeep emblem in front on the frame, rear seat....all the usual stuff that gets tossed in 20 years of use).

Hey, I'm new to the jeep world, but not to working on cars. I bought my first wrangler about a month ago, a 92 YJ 2.5 that was in kind of rough shape. The frame and floors are solid though (rare here in Minnesota) so it was a pretty good deal.

It does have some issues though, like any nearly 20 year old jeep does, but I'm happy with it so far.

Hi guys, Chas here. I've been here before but was removed because I hadn't been around for a while. I used a lot of information from this site to help a buddy with his 94 YJ. I now own that 94 after he bought a 97 TJ. The 94 has a 2.5, AX5, 8.8/D30 with 4.88's, 4" lift and 33's. This is my wife's Jeep. I am now in the process of building a 4.6 stroker and AX15 for it. I have a 90 YJ for myself that I am building from the ground up with a 4.6 stroker, AX15, 8.8/D30 with 4.88's, so on and so on, basically has all the same stuff as the 94. I have a lot of experience in the auto field if anybody needs any advise/help with their projects.

Hey Guys, New Guy from Charleston, SC. Not new to Jeeps or wheeling, but just got a new DD 94 Wrangler with a 2.5L, 5sp for $2200. Needs a muffler and a top. Top is on back order but will be here before Xmas. I did the 4.0L throttle Body swap now it runs even better. May do an injector swap next. I have had a 69 Waggoneer, a 77 Scout II, and my current Rock crawler/mud toy is an 87 Chreokee, 4.0L, auto., Locked Dana 44 with 4:56s, Rock sliders, trimmed fenders, 32in MTs, 8000# Warn winch, Roof rack, rear tire carrier, 60in Hi-Lift and a 6 man Jeep tent I just scored for $45. I have less than $3200 in the 'Okee thanks in large part to Craigslist. Looking forward to learning and contributing to the forums.

Hi All, I got my first Jeep last year. It's a 2003 SE 2.4l auto and I'm having a blast. I've put on a 2" budget boost, 31" Goodyear Duratracks (Love them!), Airaid CAI, Jet Stage 2 chip, Dynomax Catback highflow exhaust, aux lights and even did some fun dumb things like put an air horn in(I really need to get a life), built a subwoofer box in my center console (used great writeup on jeepforum.com), new stereo & speakers (6.5 in sound bar, 5.25 up front), amp under seat.
I haven't been offroad yet but I had a lot of fun last winter here in CT . . . lots of snow!
Looking forward to being part of a 4 cyl forum . . . most of the other Jeep forums are kind of snotty towards 4 cyl especially if you post something about performance they flame your ass and tell you not to bother. Really enjoyed reading the turbo thread on this site (you're giving me bad ideas!!!).

Happy New Year everyone!  Thought I'd start it right by posting for the first time on here.  I'm from the Midwest (KC area), have a wife and kid, and love playing in the dirt (2 wheels or 4).  I've got a '94YJ and have found a ton of great info on this site.  :thumb:  Came over here from another forum 'cause I like the fact that this one is geared towards the squirrels.   :beers:

New to the 4-banger forum and to the 2.5, but here are a list of all the Jeeps I've loved before...

- 2002 TJ Sport, 4.0l/manual, Hard top, factory rear 44 (W/3.73), K&N & synth all the way around, Bid Daddy Rock Sliders, Husky liners, CB

- 1990 XJ Limited, 4.0l/auto , Rusty's 3" lift (new leaf packs)shocks and dampener, Pacesetter header, MSD coil, K&N & synth all the way around, Optima battery, BFG TAs 31x10.5 on black steelies, Magnaflow muffler 2.5 exhaust.

- 2004 TJ Rubicon, 4.0l/manual, hard & Soft tops, BFG TAs 31x10.5 on black steelies, K&N & synth all the way around

-1981 CJ5, GM Iron Duke/Manual (Only 4-banger till now), tore it down completly, painted olive drab, new bestop, smittybuilt classic rockcrawler bumpers, Big-O 31x11.5 on back steelies, neoprene seat covers, tuffy rear storage/speaker boxes, Herculined the interior... and darned near every stock thing replaced ;) Should have never sold it. Custom smiley-face shifters!

-1989 MJ, 4.0l/Manual, "Metric-ton" (Rear Dana 44), 30x9.5 Cooper discoveries... Great Truck!!! I miss it.

-2004 TJ Rubicon, 4.0l/Manual, Smittybuilt Classic rockcrawler bumpers w/ tire swing, 1" BL, 4.5" Rock Krawler suspension lift (w/ rear truss, Toyo 35x12.5 on American racing alums, 4.88 gears, Hard & Bikini tops, Optima battery, K&N & synth all the way around.

And my current one and only...

-1999 TJ SE, 2.5/Manual, S35 w/ Detroit locker in rear, Diff cover gaurds, tuffy console, soft top (love my half-doors, steering brace, Rocker sliders, 1"BL, K&N & synth all the way around, 29x8.5 Goodyear Wranglers on stocker steel rims.

As you can see I've done a lot of work and spent too much $$$ on Jeeps in the past. I'm keeping my 4-banger.

Current plan is "over-built daily driver." It's green wanna keep the little stock military (sorta) look. I'll armor the underside, bumpers (tire swing), then get it high enough for 31 or 30x9.5 (wanna keep the stocker steels I love them. Get an autolocker in the front Dana 30.

Then replace anything that breaks with performance parts... Need to be more sane. Thought I would list any aftermarket thingy I had experience with that way folk could ask fitment, etc... questions.
