Finally able to register so now I'm not a lurker.
Just got a 90 YJ with a 2.5L & 5 speed. Gonna try to leave it alone and just use it as a family cruiser. Looks like there's a lot of good info on this site.

Welcome!

Yeah I turned off the membership a month ago because of the spam issue.  For some reason we seem to be targeted regularly.  Probably because many other forums have dried up.  I might turn the membership off again in a few weeks so I can go on a trip and not be hit with a bunch of spammers wanting accounts.

New guy here.  Recently purchased a 99 Wrangler with a blown up 2.5 and am currently in the process of getting it fixed up and put back together.  This is my first Jeep project but isn't the first time I've gone through something like this.  I'm looking forward to being part of the board.

Thanks,
David

Howdy,

I have been on the email list for many years!  I've been wheeling since I bought my first Jeep, 99 Cherokee back in 99.  My rig is a 99 TJ 2" spacer lift, 32" Mudders.  I haven't done much more than a couple of skids and some side bars.

Glad to be aboard.  :)

Hey all,
I've been on this site awhile but I haven't intro myself... I'm from N.W. NJ,have lots of mods on my 93YJ and a 2.5 that WILL not die...The plan was to keep wheeling till it blew but that was 7 years ago and it's not looking like that gonna happen soon....And you know, I am going to put a new 2.5 back in when or if it does...
Jeffy, you run a good site, appreciate the help and info I've recieved
Thanks Tony V from NJ

Sweet, I got in!  :koolaid:

Picked up a 93 2.5 YJ about 6 weeks ago 166,000m.  Always wanted a Jeep and thought this was a good time to get one.
Previously have been hotrodding Mustangs, but I cant use most of the things I put my time and $$ into without agrivating the law.

Mods - 1.25" overall shackle lift, 31x10.5x15, 1" BL
parts waiting to install -2 spotlights, ignition upgrade parts, 4.oTB and 19# injectors, spacer already on there

Finishing up mounting an ammo can under the hood, and mounting my HL jack to the front bumper.

Welcome from Tumbler Ridge, BC!  :beers:  You got pics of where you're mounting that ammo can?  Would love to see where...

Hey everyone!
Recently picked up a 95 YJ with 165k miles on it. Has a 4" lift on 31" tires and 4.88 with stock axles. Relatively new to the offroading scene so I haven't done much with it yet. Gotta get out and find some trails now!

Thanks!

Mounting it under the hood where the OE jack goes.  I was testing out some different mounting methods, tried 36" hose clamps to wrap around but it hits the fuse block.  So the box will get drilled and nuts welded to mount.
Over wintertime I plan on making a 10-22 mount for the roll bar... but that's another story.

these were some earlier pics showing how it hit, ill post some when it's done.

I was curious because I also have an ammo can I want to mount somewhere.  Was thinkin about on the A/C mount, but eventually want to put OBA on there.  I think it's just gonna get bolted on top of one of the rear wheel wells...
