rear end gears.
« on: March 08, 2007, 04:07:09 PM »
Does any one know what rear end comes in my 89 YJ stock?
Is it the Dana 35 or the Dana 44-30spline axles.
I need a new differential cover because the filler hole nut is rusted in and I need to change the gear oil.

Thanks

On the Dana 35 the fill hole has a rubber plug.  If you have a metal screw-in plug maybe you have some other axle.

1987-1990 used a standard metal plug.
