« on: July 21, 2007, 07:07:07 AM »
Is anyone running these on thier 4banger? mine is due for a new injector set and I was wondering if a larger injector would help any?
I have a 4.0 tb, spacer, stage 2 cam , header and an electric fan that I run now. I am just looking for a little more umpf  and maybe a bit more mileage

I run a set of the 4nozzle Ford injectors from a Crown Vic, I think they're 19lb.  Work well with my mods.

My Crown Vic injectors were plug n' play, nothing else needed.  My jeep ran a lot smoother, with a crisper throttle response, but who is to say my old injectors were in the best of shape.

I have Mustang injectors in mine; dont know how many lbs, but they were also plug and play, and I have seen no issues with mpg or anything else...  And I dont have as many mods as Bounty; my engine is MOSTLY stock 2.5L...  I got mine from http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_SetsJEEP.asp (they were the cheapest set of new branded injectors that I found online) and I have not had any problems (actually, the Jeep is running GREAT!).  Although I dont know how many lbs the injector is, I can tell you that unlike the Jeep (original one) that had only one hole per injector, these have multiple holes per injector (2 if I am not mistaken).

Keep in mind that your gas mileage will probably drop a bit with the injectors.

MPG in mine actually improved...  But then again, my old injectors were FILLED with gunk (as was the injector rail), so getting rid of all that actually improved performance.  So it will depend on the condition of your current injectors.
