TJ's don't use a stock CV/Double Cardon driveshaft stock in the rear.  Now if you're talking about an aftermarket driveshaft for a TJ, then again, it will depend since there are different lengths used for 4.0L's and 2.5L/2.4L's as well as manual and auto.  If it's custom then it will come down to actual measurements.  You'll need to measure the yoke to yoke distances.

The driveshaft is on ebay. I'm waiting to get a couple of questions answered. I'm about to put a 4" lift on my yj and was thinking about putting the SYE and cv driveshaft all at once. As much flack as the Hack & Taps get, I've never seen one go bad.  Although for the price of a H&T for a YJ ($100 more then a TJ) it doesn't make sense to go that route.

2 problems with the hack and tap that I've seen.
1) You have to run a flanged CV which eliminates all the savings of a hack and tap because you cannot use a cheap cherokee front driveshaft
2) You still have the extremely weak output shaft on the 231.  A full SYE has a fatter shaft where they tend to snap.

Are you comparing a stock shaft to a 32 spline Heavy Duty SYE?  Standard SYE's from Currie, Tom Woods, MIT and many others are modified stock shafts that have been cut tapped then heat treated. (They mostly sell HD shafts now though.) They have the 27 spline taper where the speedometer gear goes.  Then there are the larger HD kits. These bump up the thickness at the taper so it's 32 splines and stays the same thickness till the support bearing.  Now there are the Super Slim kits as well.  Those are really nice but you lose the ability to calibrate your speedometer/PCM unless you reprogram the PCM and that can only be done on TJ's, I believe.
