Well, I installed it without taking any pictures.  I've done the exhaust several times already and it's pretty easy.  The kit had changed a bit since when I last installed one.  The clamps where bands which are cool.  They don't kink the pipe as much as the clamps did.  I also made sure that the exhaust wasn't under any tension when installed.  With the engine vibrations, if anything is under tension it will break.  I've broken two sets of exhaust hangers.  These are stainless steel hangers too.  The exhaust lined up nicely and once I made sure it cleared everything I tightened the bands.  Everything went together like butter.  Engine sounds nicer.  I can tell a difference in the exhaust without the tip on.  It's enough to change the torque band.

Interesting thing is I paid $299 for my exhaust back in `96.  Now in '08, Borla charged me $419, which I'll get back when I ship the junk back to them.

Why warranty? Do they have a lifetime warranty or did you just not have it very long?

Hahah, I doubt that.  My Jeep is 16 years old and only has around 63K miles on it.  I used to put 80 miles a day for 6day work weeks for a while but that stopped.  Now it's 5-9 miles and maybe 14 on the weekend.

I've had the muffler replaced 3 or 4 times under warranty.  This time they sent me a complete kit since the rest of it was pretty beat.  The exhaust was well worth it since it's paid for itself several times over.

Why have you gone through 3 or 4 of them driving so few miles?  Do they wear out that fast?

Keep in mind that the original exhaust was installed 12 years ago!  The first muffler has a loose baffle which happens sometimes.  The second one was replaced because I ripped a huge hole in it at the spring hanger.  (This was when I was putting 100 miles a day for a 6 day work week.) The third one did the same but didn't tear into the pipe so I let it hang till it broke the rear hanger and I had to fix it.  I fixed it and then it broke the hanger off the frame so I had the whole thing replaced.  The 2.5L is really rough on exhausts (not just mine).  I've had issues where the engine vibrations have broken welds on my Kilby OBA before as well.
