Anyone with a mill should be able to make you one.  If you were carefull you could make it with a drill press .  It's just 5 holes in a block of aluminum.

That is something I don't have.  Do almost all my own wrench turning, but don't have machine shop stuff! :confused:
Wouldn't be interested in selling the one you worked on to a drill press poor guy, would ya?  :puzzled:

on a drill press... the center bore would be interesting... finding a bit big enough... or i may just not be creative enough right now.

Forstner wood bit works fine in aluminum, clamp the piece well, keep it lubed and keep the drill speed down

I bet a spacer on the TBI would be WAY more beneficial than on the MPI. The original spacers were made by hot rodders, usually out of dense wood, to extend the chamber in which the fuel and air mixes after the carb for better fuel distribution.

MPI's shoot fuel right into the intake valve, the only benefit from a spacer is more air volume in the manifold (and not by much).

The TBI injects air/fuel similar to a carb, lifting the fuel body WILL actually help mix the particles.

Yeah, so for everyone who wishes to stay with their TBI, I hope someone makes a good spacer soon!

... as for me, MPI I'm on my way! haha...

I found a place called eMachineShop that looks interesting. As soon as I can figure out how to use their CAD-type program, I'll try to get a price quote. If it looks feasible, then I may order a small batch and put em up for sale.

I doubt I'll get to it within the next few weeks though.

Emachineshop is cool if you need a prototype and don't care about cost.  I think you'll be suprised when you find out the cost.

Find a local machine shop or part time guy.  Might even want to talk to my friend http://www.jnutter.com  - he may be able to give you a reasonable quote.

You're right, the price from eMachineShop isn't worth it unless I order at least 25 at a time. I'll check around at some local places.

Kinda OT, but my dad worked at the machine shop at NASA for 30 years, and used to be able to make this kind of stuff all the time, would only take him 15 minutes. But now everything is CNC and lasers and such. So now it's much harder to do "one offs" with scrap material when you have to deal with the programming end of things.

have you actually taken off your throttle body to measure the size of the opening. or are you going off the gasket/ guessing right now. if you have the measurements id be interested in them since id like to do it ounce instead of having to take it off ounce to measure then again to install the final product.

I am in the process of making one of these for my friends jeep.  Trying to find a local dyno shop just to see if we can do a quick run to see if it is going to help any.  I have  1" and 2" made up right now so as soon as we see some numbers we are planning on making the kit (spacer, gaskets, and bolts) easy to get so I will keep you all informed
