Topic: I have MANUAL steering , will adding a second stabilizer help?

I have manual steering and you can feel the wheel shake when going higher speeds example 65-70.  All of my joints and bearings are good on the entire jeep .. I think its just because its manual steering.. I have onw stabilizer shock on it now will adding a second help me out ? also I have a 2.5" lift do I need a drop pitman arm ?? If so how much drop do I need

I don't think just being manual is the problem.  It must be something else, wheel balance, alignment, etc.

All the steering dampener will do is mask the underlying problem.  If you feel a vibration it could be in the tires.  If you have a locker it could be from the front driveshaft as well.

I dont have a locker .. and the tire shimmy is in 2wd when the front shaft isnt spinning, Im looking at the skyjacker kit or the trailmaster kit.  I like my manual steering for simplicity purposes I just want it to be smoother and easier to turn, will that kit help? also I plan on getting my tires rotated and balanced

No lift kit is going to make the steering smoother.  If you want easier to turn stick with smaller tires or else go with PS.

I run power steering on my yj it's very basic. pump and 2 lines. it would be a huge deal to convert.

you will want it when you go bigger tires and lift for sure..

this is worse than my fuel/oil mixup

Balancing the tires should help if that is the problem. If your tires are cupped from lack of rotation that will also cause vibes.

ya. if anything just get a heavy duty one but only need one

probably won't fix your problem though. you should be able to run without it without vibrations it only helps with bump steer. it slows the steering if you hit something it dampens it.

Rotated tires .. Rides smooth as glass now ..took it up to 70 mph no more shimmy
