Pretty cool stuff these guys are doing.   I wonder if this mod wouldn't cause the carrier itself to become the weakest link.
'95 YJ, 33 x 12.5 mud tires, RE 4.5 ED lift, Atlas 4 speed, rear D44, ARBs front and rear, 4.56 gears, 8000# winch

The aftermarket carriers such as ARB and Detroit's are pretty dang strong. Much more than a stock carrier.

The weak point should still be U-joints or else hubs, if you build the axle right.

Both those can be made stronger. But ya something will give if you push it hard enough. Hubs are pretty quick to change out, or leave it alone and limp out on 3 wheel drive.

What I mean is that you would normally build one of those into your 'fuse'.
