Hello 4bangers,

Since a year we own a 2.5L YJ from 1994. This car we drive mostly for fun, topless, doorless, offroad. We also have a GC 1996 V8 as dd.
I found this site when looking for an answer tot a bigproblem I seem to have. Still havent found a sollution, maybe one of you here could help me.

I hope I can be of some help to other 4 bangers here.

I have a 95 Wrangler with 31's, 2 inch lift, MagnaFlow exhaust, AirAid CAI.  I just put the 4.0 throttle body on it and it hauls now (for a jeep of course.)  This site rules I am so glad to see so many people proud of their 4bangers.
I may not be able to get anywhere quickly, but I can get most anywhere I please.

I'm Troy, located about 30 minutes south of Denver in a place called Castle Rock.  I was given a '93 YJ S with 2.5L manual back in 1999 with 120k on the clock.  I kept it for a while and sold it to a friend at 160k.  Now, I'm getting ready to buy it back at 225k and still rocking.  In between then and now, I've wheeled an '01 Toyota 4Dr Tacoma with TRD Supercharger, '72 Chevy K5 Blazer, and a '04 TJ Sport.

I have to give serious credit to the 4 banger YJ.  Upon a trip to Ptarmigan Pass (off I-70 near Vail Pass), my '72 Blazer had a short mid-trail.  I had just crossed a stream and the alternator wire hit the pre-heater off the header and shorted.  I had 3 people in the Blazer at the time.  The YJ was behind us with 4 people in it.  We put the YJ into 4lo and lugged that Blazer and all 7 seven of us up hill 10 miles to the rest area at I-70.

I know everyone dogs the AX-5, but that's held up well too, aside from the typical synchro issues.

Currently, the only mods are 4inch lift, 32" tires, front locker and a winch.  Would love to re-gear to 4:88s, but the 30/35 combo that may be hard to come by.

Thanks,
Troy aka "ugly as HomeMadeSin"
