Hmm, are they going to get another? Rubicon perhaps?  Looks like a base model.

It is the X model...  Cruise control, power windows and door locks.  Hidden trunk compartment and drivers seat riser.

It was supposed to have a D44 in the rear, but ended up with a D35.  I'm sure that we will outfit it with a Super 30 in the front, and I guess now will but stuck having to do the Super 35 in the rear.  (On the LJ we have, we did a Super 30 front and a 33 spline 44 in the rear).

This is the two door model, the 2nd one the Jeep dealer has seen.  Tomorrow (06.20.06) it's being shipped to Australia.  We were lucky to see it, and won't see it again for probably a year or two.

Note that all the future advertisements will be of this exact vehicle.

Some times I see it I like it, other times I see it I hate it! I dislike this one... Tires are WAY to small for it... never noticed the bumpers before, Those will get destroyed with any miled off road use. Ill stick with my TJ for a long wile I suppose.

power windows and door locks.

I don't like this feature. What if you're in some deep water and the window and door mechanisms get wet? You run the risk of things going haywire. I don't mind the way it looks so much. I just think it seems to much like a luxury vehicle with all the options that are offered.

Well, the doors will work at least till the batteries dies.  Electronics like that don't short out at the slightest sign of water.  Otherwise it would be a safety concern.

I had a car at one time that had power everything. If I had the windows down even the slightest bit when it rained the lockes would go crazy. Even a small amount of rainwater dripping in would cause havoc.  I guess I just like my Jeeps plain and simple. No a/c, power windows or power locks. I do like my tunes though so a good cd player is a must. :D

Ok, is this a current day car or some 80's land yaht?  I believe you can get manual windows on the JK.

One consideration with manual windows though.  If you put a cage in you might end up with non-op cranks.  I have to open my doors to be able to open my windows since my 6pt cage gets in the way.  I want to change them to electrics sooner or later.

Still don't think it looks any goofier than a stock TJ.....it just needs bigger tires (like all Jeeps).

I've seen 3 JK Unlimiteds in the last 2 days....one at lunch today had the nerve to give me a Jeep wave     Some old bag...I waved back of course since I'm such a nice guy.
2009 Audi S5....what....its 4wd...sort of....

The power window controls are in the front center stereo area.  Not much of a chance of getting doused.  The power door locks are on the door handle, but you can easily move the lever with your fingers.

It's been said here before...  Alot of people hated the TJ when it first came out.  It was laughed at by soo many.  Now it's the greatest.  I think, the same will happen with the JK...   Eventually, it'll grow on ya.

Now about that older woman waving...  That may have not been a 'Jeep Wave'.  I think she was flirting with you.

The window switches on dash it a bit weird.  Although it seems to be popular in Europe.  I do like how they have hidden all the wiring to the doors through the strap.

What size are the stock tires?  They look huge still.  I'm thinking those are at least 31".

Picture #2...  you can barely see my little Nissan in the back

The picture with the windshield...  First, it's kinda cool how it's domed and bonded.  (Still a rock collector), also same picture...  Way way back in the distance you can barely see the LJ.

It was an early 90's Ford Probe. It wasn't a bad car but it seems like the entire car went bad withing a months time. I was glad to see that car go to the scrap yard.   Amazingly the Cadillac never had such a problem. That's up for sale now. The guy I bought the yj from was supposed to come look at it but he never called.  Maybe it's better that he doesn't.

Anyway, if the power windows and locks aren't going to go haywire than I'm all for them. It is a nice vehicle. I bet it would look pretty damn cool with some 35's.  8)
