I may finally have time this weekend to do it. But I wasnt sure if it will work on the '99. Anyone done it on a '99?Right now, when my fuel light comes on, I can usually only put 11-12 gals. in it. I would love to have more range. Thanks
Thanks guys.I guess my main question or issue is, that I want to be sure Im starting with a 19 gal tank. i would hate to do it only to find out it was a real 15 gal tank to start with...

I got a 99 too and waiting for writeup would love the extra range when i'm driving through the dakota's. Whats the word Omnisi?
Did the fule tank mod today following this link:http://bigredheep.com/~jeepwra/forumnews-id-3934.htmlDidnt take pics...hands were too greasy for nice camera. Anyway the fuel pump definitely said TJ15 gal. From the pics, I thought the vent tube would be a 'hose', but it isnt. Its a molded plastic tube...like PVC. So, I forgot to get some PVC cutters so I used a small pipe cutter to cut it off. I did NOT cut off the filler/check valve tube, only the smaller vent tube. Results: I went straight to the gas station and put 19.1 gal in the tank. It was a little lower than I usually let it get before I fill it with about 11 gal. But even if it was 2 gal lower (13 gal low) it still took an easy extra 5-6 gal. Glad I did it...at 18-20 mpg, thats an extra 100 miles of range. Not bad...
