The 4banger is a real dog with the auto, can I ask why you made the change?
I don't understand where you thought I was asking him why he installed a 4.0L tb.  I specifically mentioned the transmission. :rtfm:

yet again bounty this is your question.. it just a comment stating with the auto the 4banger is more of a dog!!  and you are asking a second question in this phrase asking why he made the change. with the only thing in this thread he stated he changed was the throttle body

Yet again nothing about a trans swap... your the only one saying there is anything about a trans swap witch confused all of us other then the few that knows what thread you you mistaken this one for.

you keep bringing this up after the fact he even stated he never did a trans swap his jeep has always been auto!!

you probably did this already but i'll mention it anyway: did you readjust the cable after installing the spacers? (i remember you said you did that after the t/b spacer install).

Yes I did.
The FSM says it should be tight so the valve moves at the same time the throttle does.

Could it be too tight?

Well, I drove around yesterday, stopping to make small adjustments to the cable.  Adjusting the cable did not make the problem go away completely. 

So any more ideas?

Someone suggested a bad TC lockup sensor.  Does a 30RH even have one?

Well, the problem is getting worse.

New symptom:  After it has sat for a few days, it takes a moment or two after I put it in drive before it will move. 

So I'm gonna have it looked at, but if it's bad I might just swap it out.  I've done some research, and I'm confused, are there any alternatives to putting another 30RH in it?  (has to stay auto.) Without having to buy adapters.
